Tracy Tenner is a resident dog trainer/behavior consultant at Extra Care Animal Hospital and has been with them since 2007. Tracy has been training dogs and their people professionally for more than 25 years. While she specializes in basic obedience and overall behavior, Tracy has a special love for problem-solving, and has had the pleasure of training several service dogs for the physically impaired. She also has trained and titled many therapy dogs who visit elderly, infirm and pediatric patients. Tracy attended Duke University where she majored in journalism and occasionally writes articles for training journals and magazines. Tracy is a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and is the president and training director for the Dunnellon Schutzhund Club. While her first love is the German Shepherd Dog, Tracy is happy to assist our clients with all breeds and all ages.
